We may be spending the entire day at the beach we grew up swimming in daily, all day long. I say "may" because the beach is private so we would have to ask a friend of ours who lives there. It is about an hour away from us, so we would have to pack food for the whole day.
My question is what do you suggest packing? I eat fairly simply so I have no recipes or anything made. If we don't go grocery shopping first I wont have anything though, as all we have left in the house are a couple apples and some grapefruits. Oh and tomatoes. Could I bring a raw soup if I made one? Like (if I end up going to the store that is) some avocado, tons of spinach, and maybe a bit of dulse? I have never tried a savory soup before, but I don't know if it would keep well. I usually make green smoothies. Other wise I'll be packing in bananas and whatever else I find. I kind of want to BASICALLY mono eat today because I ate so irratically yesterday and feel it on my digestion.

thanks for any suggestions :) (oh and I have to eat a lot, like 2800 calories just to maintain my wight  )

I generally bring bananas, fruit cup (grapes, cantelope, honey dew, strawberries pre-cut), and bags of precut veggies like carrot and celery sticks. Anoter idea is a huge green salad topped with in season veggies and avacado.

Have a wonderful time, the beach is one of my favorite places to go. It's amazing how small you feel looking out over the vast ocean. :)

Thank you :). that is pretty much what I was thinking. I love the ocean and have always felt really connected to it for some reason. But I actually meant this is just a lake, I shouldn't have said "beach" sorry about that. It is suuuch a nice lake-beach though, far beyond any other I have ever been to. :) I hope we get to go.

I've gone to the beach few times this summer and brought larabars, nuts, bananas, grapes, and baby carrots...if you have a large cooler though, you could definitely bring more, like a big salad. have fun! stay hydrated, it's been ridiculously hot out!! :D
