I just had the good fortune of trying the new chocolate spreads on Alissa's website and am in absolute love. The Nirvana tastes like Heath chocolate bars and the chai is so heavenly! I am overly excited thinking of fondues and chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate heath bar shakes and haystack cookies and icing and eating it out of the jar and chocolate salad dressing...kidding... ha!

You have got to try these!

Hi there. I'm not able to find the recipe for the chocolate spread. Would someone be willing to share it with me please?

:( Oh, thanks for the info. I was hoping it was a recipe. I live in Canada and the shipping costs are horrible. Is this Alissa's own product or is it a line that l might find here in Canada?

They sell these at my local Whole Foods. I'm on my second jar of the Goji Mana one. Incredible! I haven't spread it on anything yet, just have a spoonful out the jar when I want something sweet that'll pick me up also. As a recently discovered reactive hypoglycemic it's great to have something so sweet but that doesn't mess me up. Presumably it's low glycemic - agave nectar is and goji berries are and the coconut oil slows down the absoprtion anyway. Plus, the big proof, it doesn't give me symptoms. A lifesaver right now whilst I'm fruit free! Between this stuff and Organic Food Bars I'm not battling the sweet tooth as much as just missing fruit itself, for it's texture, juiciness, etc.

Scarlett - I live in Canada too, and just this weekend was the first time I was able to try raw agave nectar and raw carob powder, after houding my health food store long enough they managed to order some in - but it costs 3 times as much!

As for ordering online, you're right. It's awful, the shipping costs are prohibitive as they often add up to more than the products themselves! :( Not to mention, duty and taxes and exchange rates. hey?

If you live in Toronto/Ottawa area I think there are quite a bit of raw resources and products available there. Vancouver not so much, but some... there was a Canada thread about products awhile ago...

Hi Jordann
Thanks for the suggestion. I live in Western Canada. Calgary does have a few organic stores and l think the trend is here. We are cattle country and most people here think l'm from a different planet because l eat different. I did get some raw carob and agave and look forward to trying it.
