How do I keep my dehydrating crackers FLAT? They seem to curl at the edges quite a bit.. ideas?

Good question as mine always curl up too. Actually sometimes they curl so much I can't get the dehydrator tray out of the Excalibur without breaking them apart! Hope someone has some ideas for us.

I've only noticed this when my mixture was too lthin and the crackers were spread extremely thin.
Maybe spreading just a wee bit thicker or making the batter a wee bit thicker might help.

I just made crackers today, my first project w/the dehydrator. I was concerned that i wasn't making them thin enough, they are actually a little too thin and probably won't hold up well to hummus, etc. But they are tasty!

I find also if the % of high water content food is too high (not balanced out by other things like nuts/sees/grains) that crackers tend to curl much more easily. It still happens to me alot though!

try to make a recipe that is drier before you spread it into the dehydrator. Either use less water or less moist ingredients, or dry it up by adding something like ground oats, ground flax, etc.

I have never had this problem but I never truly follow a recipe, I always add my own twist.........
