Hi Everyone,

Over Easter I got excited and decided to put together a free raw food ebook. Something that could be shared to inspire people who just want a little more information but aren't ready to commit. And for those looking for new ideas and photos of raw food dishes.

Over 40 people have taken part in putting it together. Alissa gave us permission to use two of her recipes too! Thanks Alissa!

Bummer I am fasting and can't do the recipes but it will give me something to look forward to once I break it and am having real food! It's only 2 mb - even on dial up it will download quickly. No need to wait. I made sure to keep it small, which is amazing considering there's more than 60 photos!

Thankies. My hubby is a Mac genius. If the platform (or whatever it is called) doesn't support Mac then there's nothing we can do except wait until it's changed to a program Mac will recognize ~ OR, I can get someone I know who's not on a Mac to print it out for me. :D

Thank you for sharing this excellent e-book, Sheryl!!! It is sooooooo user-friendly. I love how you can click on an ingrediet in the recipe, and learn about that certain ingredient. That is very useful. I also ove the look of the book. I plan to use it a lot. Thank you!!!

HI all you Mac users!

Sorry to leave you out. I've just never come across software that does both Mac and PC. I do have a friend with a Mac, so if we can track down appropriate software we could reformat it.

It really does need something more than PDF or Word, since it's so many pages, and has so many links between pages. It needs to be software that can take multiple pages and package them into an ebook.

Maybe this is the time to use the send to a friend on the site and get someone you know with a PC using it!

It would also work if you had a PC Emulator on your computer to use Windows programs.

I've gotten HUGE books w/ pdf. The number of pages doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm playing w/ someone now to see if she can transfer it to pdf.

Adobe Acrobat should be able to do it. I've had pdf's that are hundreds of pages long with no problem and seen other pdf's that have links between pages and things of that nature.

Hi everyone,

Can we leave off the MAC issue for a bit? I'm really excited, and *just* got this out after literally months of effort. I'd like to bask in the glow for a bit, and I'm off on holiday for my sisters wedding in two weeks. It's just not going to happen now.

The book is free, but is copywrited in it's current whole format. Please feel free to share, but leave it in it's original form. I know that means MAC people can't see it, but maybe you can view it at someone else's house? Or at work?

In time I'll look at this, but need a break for a while. I have other paying projects I need to get back to!

I'm glad you're all enjoying it - the members of our community here who worked to put it together are just thrilled to see it go live. It's a really good feeling knowing how many people it will touch.

When you click on the link above, 3 photos come up, wait a minute for the rest of the page to load, then click on the great big "CLICK HERE" near the bottom of the page. When the little window comes up, click on "RUN" instead of "Save", and this will get the installation program to run and install the ebook on your computer.

Hope that works for you. A friend of mine can't get it to work on her computer either, and it's not a Mac. :confused:

I am having trouble opening the ebook, it opens up a dialog box to register everytime I try to click on a link. Have tried messing with my settings and saving as a target, using windows xp. Any help would be much appreciated

I did try to register, but that's where I got the problems with the box stating that my settings or virus weren't set right. I did try disabling everything, but nothing worked. .. Now that I think about it I am using a Mac airport router so maybe that's the problem. Will try another connection and hopefully that will work- everything looks so delic

It's now in 59+ countries around the world... how exciting is that!!! Just imagine all the people who are being introduced to raw for the first time!

I am making some progress on the MAC issue and am keeping a list of people that want the MAC version. If you asked via the forum I will not have your name. If you want on the notify list for when the MAC one is done just email applemac @ raw-pleasure.com.au (remove spaces). I also had my husband add a pop up on the download page that detects if someone is on a MAC and lets them know the mac version is not yet available.
