I believe I have restless leg syndrome. I've never had a doctor actually tell me, but I have all the symtoms. Though I eat lots of potassium-rich foods, like bananas and raisins, if I take a potassium supplement everyday, it completely got rid of the jitters and twiches in my legs :D

I have this too, and I have found that magnesium pretty much eliminates it. I never go to bed without taking a magnesium supplement. It makes sense that pottasium would help, as well.
It is quite an annoying condition, hope you find something that helps you!

I got a better desk chair and stopped leaning all my weight on my feet during the day. It disappeared!

I have it and it's coming back! It has gone away for a while though while raw instead of having it every night. It's a fraction of the feeling I used to have though.

:) For weeks i suffered with it but the guy at my health food store told me to take my calcium/magnesium and that really helped. I take the liquid so it get's into the blood stream quicker.
I don't have any problems with it as long as i take the calcium/magnesim. Also don't forget your B-12 vitamins that helped me also.

I suffered with this for years. However, after the chiropractor had a go at me well over a year ago, I've not had those problems. The only time I have trouble is when I get to leaning on the left arm of my office chair - this seems to really mess me up. When the leg cramps remind me of the problem, I stop. The problem goes away again.

Yes. It could be caused by a variety of different things and not knowing your food program or other habits...I'd be just guessing as those above are doing.

my mom has this. she has tried eating potassium rich foods, but it just doesn't do the trick for her. she supplements potassium and magnesium and she doesn't have it, but if she stops they come right back.

I used to have it. It went away when I stopped eating foods that were "stimulating", mostly salt and spices.
All the best,

Yes....and my mother, g-mother, sister, and daughter. It's not as bad as it used to be pre-hysterectomy. I'm not sure it as related, but I'm not bothererd nearly as much.

Ok now I know you are gojng to think I am crazy, but a couple of my cousin just told me that both of them had restless legs and one had night cramping in her legs. They were told to take a bar of bath soap about the size of a motel bar and put it in the bed by there legs both claim that they have no more problems since doing this. I am going to try it to see for myself.
