Here's my situation: I wanted to contribute to the environment more & decided to bike to the library. I haven't rode a bike since I was a little kid, & that may have contributed to my painful yesterday! While I was riding, I lost my breath easily & could barely go up hills. By the end of the trip to the library & back home, my groin(sorry for being too graphic), biceps, thighs, & back really hurt! Today, it's just my back. Thank goodness!
The other factors I think may have contributed to the painful bike ride:
- I haven't ate anything for days (I know it's bad(I'm fasting to detox), but my whole body could hurt like that just by biking?!)
- I didn't drink any water (big no-no, I know)
- I may have not done enough stretching
- I can barely touch my feet to the ground, when I'm one the bike. Can a bike being too big for me be a problem?
I'm kind of active & don't think I'm out of shape. I'd either run, do karate, tai-chi, play basketball or badminton.
Any insights or advice on bike riding would be great! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
