Good morning! I am thrilled...I am wearing pants that a couple of weeks ago were a bit snug, and now they are getting VERY baggy in the belly and the butt. I think I may wash and dry them in hot water to get a little more use out of them, until I am ready to go into a smaller size.
And, I'm not even 100% raw yet!
here's a question...for those of you who have done atkins and the other crazy fad diets...
When I did Atkins, I would often lose inches before the scale moved at all. Is this true of Raw? I haven't lost that much weight yet, but I look a lot better. And I feel wonderful!!!

That is wonderful! And what motivation, huh?
Do not worry about losing the weight per your scale. Scales are evil creatures! I think we are obsessed with weight loss via the scale, not how our clothes feel, or how our bodies start getting leaner. Don't rely on the scale...
Also - have long have you been Raw?

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't measured myself (oops) but I have noticed my clothes are a bit looser as well. I think the measurements mean more than the pounds... because as you exercise, you'll attain more muscle, which weighs more than fat.

Yes I wast Atkins before raw - ironic really lol.
I read this great book (lowcarb) written by a nurse who explained female weight loss patterns and it was so very helpful and reassuring.
The info that really stuck with me was the "whoosh" effect. Where the times your body hangs on to the weight and then whoosh lets it go in one dump.
This really helped when the week before my period I did not loose a bit but just after I showed a 3lb loss!
She explained the entire pattern that happens in the course of a month, this was just one part. I will try to locate the book and get more details for you.
I always thought we should start a pants (trousers for you in the UK, as pants there are knickers) exchange! I think I now have a pair of chinos in every size and the pair of crops i bought two weeks ago are falling off. I think I am going to have to stick to elastic for while to get more life out of my clothes! Lol.

Awesome!
I am a EX-Atkins grrl. I found that I loss inches and weight on that diet, but I also loss muscle and health. The diet made me sick.
On raw I am losing weight and inches just as well and I am gaining muscle and health.

Here's a really odd thing for me....
I did all the diets out there & of coarse I lost weight (weight that never STAYED off, but still) & although I LOST weight, my shape stayed the same. I still had a bigger butt, hips, thighs area that stood out. It was just an odd shape for me. It was SMALLER, but my shape was the same. It hindered my efforts & motivation to keep going.
The 1st thing I noticed on losing weight with raw foods, THIS SPECIFIC area I had problems with was the 1st to go. My body evened out so much more.
Anyone else notice this???

Ljannise,
My legs have always gotten heavy as I gained weight. It looks like it's coming off of there first, but it makes my butt look much bigger. I got up to my highest point, 216 pounds, and I am now 203 after not quite a month of high raw. And some wicked cheats. I am gearing up to go 100% on August 1.
Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing the changes in my body. Size 18ws were getting tight, my 1x tops didn't quite fit properly, I bought a size 42 bra and that was tight (just back fat, sadly, not big boobs LOL)
Now my clothes fit and some of them are getting too big. I have clothing in about 5 different sizes, so I am going to start getting some of the smaller things out. I LOVE that..and I feel confident that this will be the last time I'll have to shop in plus size stores! Yay!!!
