I gritted my teeth and paid high prices here in England for Nature's First Law raw carob powder and agave nectar.
WOW!!!! Absolutely fabulous tasting food from the gods :D I had previously bought a very much cheaper bottle of agave syrup (which I thought was raw but wasn't) and some raw carob in a bag (no brand name) - both from a UK raw source - and they were not nearly as good.
Of course, I didn't know what they were supposed to taste like in the first place, but once I'd sampled the NFL brands I could taste a significant difference. Yummy!
Bit unfair that we are penalised so much here in England but I know it's the shipping costs that mostly hike up the prices.
Still, there's no going back for me now......

PS I'm waiting for the NFL raw chocolate powder to come back into stock - can't wait!

I'm in the UK too.. I know exactly what you mean about the prices for all the raw specialed stuff off the internet. I ordered a few stuff to begin with, but in the end I couldn't justify sepending £12 every month or two on a mere 450g bag of cashews for example. I've ordered quite a few NFL products tho and have to agree the quality is awesome and at least we know it's RAW!! But the prices of all this has just made me stop buying all the raw special foods for ridiculous prices when I could be spending all that money on even more whole fresh fruits and vegetables (which I do now) and is a lot better value for money and more value to my health

Hey English Tracy, that's awesome that your carob powder and agave necter tasted good. I've been wondering for a long time...What carob and agave necter taste like??? I know it's probley a stupid question, I assume carob tastes a lot like chocolate, but does agave necter taste like honey or somthing? I know it's a sweetener, i've seen it at my local health food store, but what does it taste like?

As far as I know, the raw cocoa powder is in stock again, I received a couple of emails from NFL about it. I keep meaning to go down and pick it up from the store since I live 10 minutes away from it.
Check the website again, it's on there :)

YEP, I always buy the best, as it really makes a difference, and one thing I learned, is that sometimes the BEST isn't the MOST expensive, but it usually is.
so glad to hear you found some great products that you love. YUMMY

I ran out of the raw cacacoa during my first month 100% raw. I haven't ordered it again, although my hubby and I loved it. Prices are too steap for my blood. I said I would order a batch every 6 months as a treat.

Summerloco - for me, the NFL agave nectar was more like maple syrup than honey and the carob is sweet with a mild chocolate and caramel edge to it.
Coriander 74 - I didn't order direct from NFL but from a UK supplier. I think the postage would be quite a lot from the US and although the products aren't cheap here in England, they get mailed out quite quickly.
I will also only be buying these as an occasional treat. I haven't had the chocolate powder before so am keen to try it.

Yes, we do get seriously ripped-off in this country. I would like to point out, though, that, even including the shipping charges and even the customs charges, if you are unlucky enough to get stung on a shipment, it is still often cheaper to buy the products from the USA - I've never lost out this way. Occasionally, if I've been stung badly on import duty, I might only break even, but mostly I make a very worthwhile saving by ordering from the USA.

Well, yes, you hit the nail on the head there, I must say, and I completely agree with you.
