Thanks all who answered about my "cheese dilemma". I gained two bits of very important info: Really, that anything that God himself has NOT created in its natural form is NOT something that I should be eating.
And second, apparently, almond milk is His gift to the earth :p

I can't wait to try all the recipies you guys left for me. My family either doesn't know about my lifestyle change [going raw] or they think it's foolish because Im either eating too much fruit sugar or not getting enough nutrients [which I know neither is true because all food He created is balanced and was meant to be eaten in its natural form]. It sort of just makes it tough for me to go about eating correctly. Not to meantion I work in the kitchen of a restaurant doing a majority of their baking and desserts. But surprisingly, Ive found it not very hard to resist eating the wonderful refined sugar and pure fat that I put together each day [sounds yummy, no??]

I know where I can find recipies - but I have neither a dehydrator or juicer. And as my family is under a rock, it looks as if I'll be receiving these items a little bit after never. So if anyone could point me in the way of alternate preparation, Id greatly appreciate it. I know about smoothies in the blender and such.... but what else can I use and how??

Much thanks!! :)

I didn't have a dehydrator for the LONGEST time, and actually, now that I've had it for a couple of weeks, I don't use it the way I thought I would. I find that I just love the taste of fresh raw food.

The juicer is lovely to have, especially when it's hot and I don't feel like eating anything heavy. I would recommend that you get this before a dehydrator, when you have the option. Until then, smoothies are the way to go :) There are really inexpensive juicers out there that require a little more food-chopping but they're not bad if you're in a bind!

I understand how you feel about the family thing. The first thing my dad said to me was "as long as you get your protein". They've seen me try so many new things that nothing really surprises them anymore. However, when I told them that the chronic pain I've had for the last 2 1/2 years has almost vanished, they're starting to believe a little more in this. It's not enough to get THEM on the wagon though LOL.

Good luck!!!!

Do you have a food processor? My first choices ~ Vita-Mix (or any heavy-duty blender you can afford); food processor ~ then anything else is nice yet unnecessary unless you actually want it. One can make fruit pies, lasagna and loads of other things w/out a dehydrator and w/ a blender, no need for a juicer.

One wonderfully cooling thing to make ~ put cold watermelon in the blender and do it to it. Might add a spritz of lime juice as well.

Hmm, I don't see how different making chese is from almond milk (from a spiritual standpoint) but good luck. You might try walnut milk too, IMO it's even better than almond.

Cheers. :)

My Vitamix and food processor are used the most, daily! And after reading this thread yesterday I made Revvell's watermelon-aid for my breakfast and WOW it was delicious! With our hot Seattle weather I will be doing that again today.
