Today it felt like i had a band around my head squeezing it tight and a rising thightness in my body and neck, so i left church feeling as though i was going to pass out any minute.
My husband took me to the clinic and i hadn't felt like eating anything much in about a week only 1 salad a day.
They took blood and i went in a cup and they took it to their lab for tests, i was so scared thinking i had diabetes of a stroke but when the test came back it showed i had slightly high blood pressure 185/85 which the doctor said was high.
He didn't perscribe any medication and i went home, now i feel some better,
please can anyone tell me or suggest what might be going on.
I've been eating raw for around 2 months and will continue but i felt so bad today it scared both of us.
Thanks for the help.

Ann

Did you have any more symptoms? It could be a healing crisis since it's been two months, but other than that I have no idea. I hope you get well soon.

If it's as HOT and HUMID where you are as it has been here (109),
it could be the heat.

Hope you feel better soon!

Are you drinking enough water?

Cheers!

Tingling in my arms hands and legs, along with tightness in my head and dizziness.
Yes, it has been very hot the heat index made it feel like 112% last week but the last couple of days it has gotten in the high 80's.
I feel a lot better, thanks.
Still a little tingling feeling in my legs but my head feels better.
Thanks for the help.

I'm guessing the combination of heat and humidity plus you only having a salad a day. Our bodies will start to fight themselves for nutrients if there's nothing being fed to them.

Keep cool and I hope you feel much better!!!!

so glad you are feeling better,

the heat can cause massive changes in the body, and since we live in regulated homes, cars, and offices, our bodies don't know how to cool us or heat us very well anymore.

Greetings Blessed. I'm new here, so please excuse me if I am completely off the beam here, but have you considered that it may have been some kind of panic attack?

My best wishes to you that this incident will not occur again.

I'm still wondering if your food intake might have been related to the onset of high blood pressure - have you been eating copious quantities of celery in your salads? (not that I would expect high organic sodium intake to prove problematic, since the body can handle it pretty easily. Nonetheless, it is just possible that your sodium/potassium balance was out).

:) When i left church thinking i was going to pass out any second yes, i did panic, i had to drive 14 miles to get home and i prayed all the way.
When i got to the clinic it was a full blown panic attack...
I was relieved to hear him tell us that they found nothing wrong but it was confusing that after what i had experienced that things were okay.
I really don't understand what happened i thought maybe my blood sugar had gone out of control or i had diabetes but that wasn't the problem.
And thanks Ark for the info about the celery but i haven't had any in qite awhile. I had read that green bean juice is good for people with high blood pressure so i brought some green beans on the way home yesterday and made some juice with tomatoes and it made me feel better, i will have some more today.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Ann,

Are you taking any medication?

misslinda

sounds like a secondary issue happening hear........fear.

imo,

try magnesium (I'd suggest apowder form) for the fear and contraction of organs/muscles.

high blood pressure, I'd try removing mucous from the body. Drink some good lemon/water everymorning for the next 5-7 days and have it followed by some good fruit.

in terms of PA, I use to have these for years. In a very unique way, blood sugar does play a role but for the sake of simplicity here, I would suggest being extra loving towards liver/kidneys.

Are your bowels consistent too?

Do you find yourself constantly thinking about what might be wrong? Anaylzing the symptoms?

:)

linda, i am always having panic attacks. if i feel a tinge in my head i think i am having an anuerism. i rarely take anxiety medication, most of the time i can talk myself out of it. But I want them to stop completely! I am doing the lemonade fast for 10 days and then going 100% raw and I have also been worried about healing crisis and detox symptoms...any suggestions on reducing anxiety during these times??

hiya there capullo (italian?)

i'm sorry to hear you are on constant edge about these "red flags" sometimes I use other terms b/c the term panic attack itself makes people anxious, ya know what I mean ?

how often do you take the meds? which ones are you on?

you can stop them completely but be real careful b/c the body is delicate but so are your emotions/feelings.

Try not to analyze or develp newer thoughts about what is wrong. Focus on what it is for right now......work at letting go of thinking about it (this will take time and effort)

To ease detox etc----There are DEEP and I mean very deep level of emotions ( particularly with sadness and crying) associated with panic via the kidneys. Always love your body and assure it thru many different ways:

Deep breathing exercises is number one on my list with meditation.

detox baths with calming scents that appeal to you

staying hydrated

avoid foods, peoples, thoughts and things that trigger, stimulate your panic

pay close attention to massaging thighs.

Do various modalities before not while or after the detox episode. You will be fine as long as you allow your detox sympotoms to work themselves out----you lead them ;) :)

what do you mean by sadness and crying assiciated with panic through the kidneys??

and also what does "do various modalities" before detox?

Thanks for your kind words and suggestions!! :)

oh yeah, the anxiety medication is buspar but I take it very rarely...maybe once a month. most of my episodes happen when im home alone at night...i think my deepest fear is that something will happen to me and no one would know or be able to help me. Like I said, most of the time I can talk myself out of it after 20 minutes or so...but it is the most awful feeling while it is happening :(

Your so right about that feeling Capullo my dear friend. It almost seems like PA is an invisible enemy that mutates itself into a secondary FEAR. I'm glad that you are working with yourself to know that the symptoms are not deadly---talk with them, confront them and work with them but not against them. These reactions are red flags as I like to call them, that something is out fo balance in us.

My bad! I was speaking from an Eastern perspective about feelings/emotions correlating to specific organs. Take for example crying---ever felt thirsty afterwards? thirsty while having a PA? While crying, you can feel the uproar of energy come upward thru the upper back? Kidneys are the guardians of liquids for dispersement.

Another example is anger, associated with the LIVER. Noitce people who eat while angry get indegestion or don't feel digestively great afterawards...........anger intereferes with the proper energy of the liver and its bile.

Modalitites in terms of hands on touch, energy work, meditations with brething, crystals or colors. Aromatherapy,WAlking etc.

One change I had to make when I was alone was change the environment. Reaarange dedcorate your place differently until you can work the different levels out to get to ultimate healing.

Waht happened that triggered this PA? There is alot of saddness in your eyes when I look at your profile pic..............

talk to you soon my good friend ;)

:) I was confused by that but now i'm glad he didn't.
I feel real good today but with every little twing i start panicking then i have to deep breath.
I have not ate any celery lately, a lot of tomatoes, avocadoes and onions.
I hope the worst is over.

Finally the signs are pointing to a vitamin B-12 deficiency.
I am now taking a supplement and it seems to be helping but i've only taken it for a short time, just a couple of days.
I use to take 2 but not everyday, i slacked off so i will be taking them everyday.
Does anyone here take B-12 and if so have many do you take a day, tablets or the drops.
Thanks for all the love and care you all have shown. :D :D :D

On the positive side, you went to the clinic and had all your tests come out normal. That is great. Otherwise you may have been wondering!

It could have been something small that caused a panic attack to come on, making things worse.

Or it could have been some good old detox that triggered more symptoms.

I often get a panic attack when I'm driving on a highway or freeway for over 30 minutes. I zone out and then my heart starts beating rapidly. Also I get dizzy and feel like I'm not really there - like I'm watching myself.

Usually when this happens I start reading each letter on car lisence plates or freeway signs to get my mind in order. It really is a pain when that happens, because it's not always easy to get back in control, and it causes a lot of fear!

:) Today i was going to the market when i started feeling lightheaded and very dizzy, i couldn't figure out whether i should go home or keep going to the market.
I balled my fists up because i had heard that it would cause more blood to go to the heart and help keep you from passing out. It didn't seem to work at first but i kept doing it and i felt a little better.
I took some vitamin B-12 and now i feel much better so i will stay on it from now on, the symptoms i've been experiencing have been so scary.
Some nights i'm afraid to go to sleep, staying up until 3:00 A.M.
I think i can sleep tonight.
Thanks Sharon.

B12 deficiency can be very scary. I have an acquaintance who suffers from it, but unfortunately, she is ALLERGIC to B12 and so it is very difficult for her to be able to treat it.

I always take my B12 supplements every day. I am not prepared to take the risk. Sometimes it is better to be safe than sorry.
