With my last pregnancy, I was raw until I found out I was expecting then I began to eat cooked. I had not ONE day of morning sickness.

With this pregnancy ( 33 weeks along) I was cooked until about 14 weeks, I was extremely sick this time.

I am on a raw pregnancy group and many women who were raw before conceiving are struggling with morning sickness.

So I guess I can't really answer your question. I do know that being raw this time, I feel absolutely AMAZING!!! I have struggled through every pregnancy but this time I am so enjoying being pregnant. I feel great!! I may not be perfectly 100% all the time, but mostly. And the effects alone of how I feel are keeping me eating raw!!!

Best of luck to you,
Jamie :)

There was a study out last week that compared diet and morning sickness. They have decided it's likely that morning sickness is a way of regularing what the mother eats, and food less healthy or more likely to make her sick are on the top no eat list.

Meat and milk were two of the biggest offenders they found.

Cheers,
Sheryl

morning sickness and nausea and vomiting during pregnancy are not always the same thing. the nausea in the morning, usually accompanied by vomiting, in early pregnancy is caused by hormonal changes in the body. queasiness and vomiting after eating certain foods later in the pregnancy is the body's way of not taking in anything it doesn't "want".

You may discover that you don't have a problem anyway. I had horrible morning sickness with my first, absolutely none with my second and then again sickness with the third but not nearly as bad as the first.

Some of it is simply hormonal, some of it can be mitigated with food choices and some of it can be effected by emotions. After making some decisions that made me feel 100% better about things most especially my birth, my sickness eased quite a bit with the first.

I was under the impression that morning sickness was more common with boy babies than with female babies. Anyone?

This is my worst 1st trimester for sickness,, and she's a girl!!! But my last that I had NOT a single day of sickness with was also a girl. So I dont' know if there's any truth to that.

I am 32 weeks along with baby #7. So far I have three boys and three girls. this is my first raw pregnancy, and this has been the easiest ever. I had some morning sickness but not nearly the amount I have had with other pregnancies. I don't think the sex of the baby matters at all. I have not had any heartburn or sciatic nerve pain. On a SAD pregnancy the sciatic nerve pain was so bad I spent a good deal of the day on the couch trying not to move. With raw, I was running 3 miles 3-4 times a week up to 28 weeks. With SAD I am usually on partial bed rest by 28 weeks! On SAD I had to do like the docs said and not lie on my back after 20 weeks (pressure of baby on a major artery... I could actually feel pain from the blood flow being cut off) but with Raw, I have woke in the night on my back, no pain... until last week.

I have had more energy and not "felt" pregnant really. I have felt so tremendously happy and relaxed. My oldest children have commented that I have not seemed pregnant and that this pregnancy has gone a lot faster than others. :D I hope that helps. I would definatly reccommend a raw pregnancy to anyone. I am truly amazed at how well this pregnancy is going. In the past I would have told everyone how much I HATE being pregnant, love the children...hate pregnancy. With raw, I have been able to enjoy the movement of the baby and the miracle of creating life.

I had morning sickness really badly with my last two children. I had a girl and a boy so it throws that theory out the window!

Boysenberry~

I ditto all that you said,,, except the running part,, can't do that!!!

I am 33 weeks along with #7 also, and I have had very hard pregnancies physically,, all caused by my SAD diet! I have NEVER felt so good while being pregnant. For the first time, I am actually enjoying being pregnant and already am missing when baby is not in womb!!

No although I am not doing the running,,, I am walking alot, even up hills,, which I would never had done with any of the others. I feel wonderful!!!

AND, I have not gained anything!!! Usually I gain about 30lbs while pregnant. This,, while certainly not my main concern, is a great bonus to being raw!!!!

Best of luck on the rest of your pregnancy!!!

Jamie
PS,,,, since the pregnancy part has been so much better, I"m hoping the labor part is as wonderful... I usually have very easy labors, only a couple hours long, contractions bearable for the most part. It is the actual delivery that is so painful,, even though it is usually one contraction and out shoots baby,,,, that's the part I"m afraid of :(

My awful morning sickness(all the time for 7 months and off and on the last two)was a boy. My friend had easy time with a girl and then worse with a boy.
So I guess, I don't have many chances to morning sickness pregnancy... But I hope to have it shorter and lighter...
