I was wanting to try to make Alissa's blueberry pie from her DVD for my
birthday next week. It looks so YUMMY!!!! :D
I was wondering if one could use "frozen" blueberries instead of fresh?
Hard to find organic fresh blueberries right now (and soo very expensive!).

This pie is definately the best treat I've made since being raw--good choice!
I used blueberries from my freezer for mine, and it turned out great. Good luck!

One more thing..... when I made the pie, I made the crust thicker than called for in the book- I believe I increased the ingredients by 1/3. To me, the crust is the best part! Anyway, if you like the almond/date crust as much as I do, you may want to do the same!

Oh, a thicker crust does sound devine and indulgant.
I will try it!

If using frozen blueberries, do you thaw and drain first cuz otherwise wouldn't there be way too much water?

I semi-thawed mine by running the bag under warm water. If I recall correctly, I didn't drain and it came out okay. Juices ran down into the crust over a couple days, but it was never mushy.
