I recently found canned baby coconut in the canned section of an aisan market near me. Tastes great, but wondering if it is cooked before processing for canning?
Also they had frozen, that the woman stated to me was raw? Anyone know how these are processed?

My grocery store sells those items too but watch out!!
To my understanding anything that is in a can is heated and therefore NOT raw.
Also the frozen young coconut usually has sugar or sweeteners in it or things to preserve freshness HAH!
So I would pass those by and go ask the grocery manager if they can order and handle the fresh young coconuts.
That is really what you need and they are SO much better!

Along with what eachpeachpearplum,
Many have be doused with silicon dioxide and other chemical goodies to preserve the freshness and color of the contents
