I'm completely new at this raw food journey. I started this colon cleansing thing cause of some health issues and the ONLY things i'm allowed to eat are vegetables (NO TOMATO), bananas, and avocados. I can't use a dehydrator because it also uses some amount of heat.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME BEFORE I KILL MYSELF OF COOKED FOOD DEPRIVATION!!!

yes it's a good idea to start with some basics and her book is a great place. Lots of links to read too just sit down with a smoothie and surf and read away :)

You won't hardly believe how much you will learn

Make green smoothies to tide you over. Combine a few bananas with water and dark green leaves (spinach, romaine, dandelion greens, dinosaur kale, to name a few) in a blender. It will taste sweet despite the color. Try a ratio of 60% fruit to 40% greens. If you want it cold, freeze peeled banana chunks. Otherwise, get the idea of "smoothie" as in what you get from the mall (which is chemicals poured from a carton) out of your head. This is a blended meal.

No raw nuts or seeds allowed?

Make big beautiful delicious green salads with chopped veggies. Can you use raw tahini to make a dressing? If not, try raw olive oil and lemon juice with some herbs shaken in.

You can also make Alissa's raw angel-hair pasta but instead of marinara sauce, make a pesto with basil, olive oil, garlic, raw pine nuts.

Order her book online or, depending on where you live, it may be available locally. Just not at mainstream bookstores.
