A little more about me, I just turned 40, June /26th. /2006 , I am 290lbs. at 511 I have enjoyed a healthy a life style in the past. However, I allowed myself to fall into disrepair byway of bad eating and no exercise. Due to some uncountable chain of negative events, close friends becoming ill, and needing caretaking, and taking me for granted, and then my husband dieing. I just gave up! Then as age 40 came upon me, I heard a voice inside of me scream SELF PRESERVATION soon 50 will be here and I will be done for, if I dont take the rains right here, right now, and say NO!, to being a party to my own ass kicking, and YES!, to the betterment of me. I have always been motivated to be clear minded and fit, always striving for a spiritual experience from diet = (way of life/lifestyle) and meditation. Then I fell in love w/ a meat eater and my faith and fate started to turn. I would make delicious vegan dishes, and Joey would say, I am a man, I need meat! truth be told, I too enjoyed a hamburger every blue moon (so very hard for me to admit to). Before meeting Joey and having all this stress, I was 90% vegan, always aspiring to become a macrobiotic.
Now more and more, I have been reading about eating/living raw and all its benefits, I love sprouts, eating and making them. 3 years ago I got two FreshLife automatic sprouters they did a vary good job for a short time, but due to them being made from brittle plastic, poor motor and the difficulty cleaning them efficiently, they went out w/ the trash. I tried going raw last year, and quite enjoyed the foods, but flunked out. I was around the wrong people, too much stress and did very poor preparation for the 180-degree turnaround.
As of June/ 12th /2006, I have since moved over 1000 miles away from the toxic relationships, that had me captive. I have been doing fairly well since my move, I have NOT at all been over eating, yes eating some bad foods, but in moderation. I have slowly been intergrading fresh raw, juice (Cabbage, Apple and Ginger) my all time favorite juice! Raw apples and organic air popped popcorn w/ lots of Braggs vinegar and EXV olive oil and lots of water. When weak, pea soup or brown rice w/ mushrooms and onions. This has been a cooling down diet for me, compared to what I was eating before. My big goal is to do a 30-day Cabbage, Apple and Ginger juice fast, w/ a vinegar drink made of 2tbls of vinegar, three cloves of garlic, 1teasp of cayenne blended and put into 2cups of Cabbage, Apple and Ginger juice. I am hopping this help recalibrate my system and make my transition to raw living more harmonious
So, here I am! Inspired by this website Ready to start anew! I hope this does not sound too pathetically needy, as soon as I feel have some spotters I will take the plunge into my fast.
