Figs!!!!

So I went to the local produce stand this morning and they were bringing out figs and I asked the guy, "omg, are those figs? Like fresh figs?" So I got one pint of them. I couldn't wait and tried one. I quickly turned around and bought two more telling him they were delicious! He had this strange look on his face and asked, "you eat them just like that? Fresh?" I looked like a kid in a candy store and he gave me another pint free!!!!!! It was $6 total for all of them, I have so many I had to freeze some! I am in raw heaven right now! ^_^

How did he expect you to eat them. I am curious.

I really have no idea! My mom said that a lot of people here (in the South) make Fig jams and preserves. So perhaps that was it.

Oh and before I went back, I went to the grocery store and my mom asked me if the car was locked, hoping no one would steal anything. The first thing I said was, "I hope no one steals my figs!! They're dead if they do!" lol
