My big decision...

I've decided NOT to get my birth control shot on thursday!! This is major for me because I HATE getting my period, but I will stop the injections!
This Friday it will be 4 weeks since I quit smoking.
I started 100% raw on July 4!! Love it!!
Also on Thurs. when I see my Dr. I will NOT be getting my ritalin perscription refilled since I DON"T have ADD and my Dr. gave it to me because I was tired all the time...nice Dr. huh?
So now I can start to heal!

I love the info on this site...helped with my decision making alot!

I think that you are doing very well but maybe you need a new doctor.
See how he reacts to your decisions and make your judgments based on that. It helps if you have a doctor that will support you to some extent or at least makes the effort to ubderstand.

I agree with Sport. A new Doc that really is behind your decisions.

I would expect a fair bit of detox for you for those reasons you mentioned.

Be REALLY good to yourself. You still might be tired and most people have detox coming off any meds.

Read everything you can and ask to see what other people have gone through with the issues you face.

You made the right choice but like anything you want badly, it will take work and effort and that is why the wonderful people here are such a blessing!!
Alway a cheerleader or a wise critic, but in the end?? It's ALL up to you :)

Glad you made this decision as those shots are even more dangerous than the pills. Someone had told me years ago about how she became severely depressed until she "got use to" the shots after about a year. I knew I wanted to steer clear when she said that.
