Hi I am new to your site. I used to be a vegetarian, until I entered a bodybuilding contest. The dr. who is also a nutritionist said that I would have to eat meat in order to gain the muscle and strength needed to compete. I hate eating meat. Well I know Bill Pearl has won many titles and he is a vegetarian. I bought his book but he doesn't go into detail about his diet. I even went to his web site and nothing there either. Does anyone have any info. on his diet while he was competing? I drink a lot of whey protein drinks instead of meat. Thank you, Kim

While Bill Pearl did not consume flesh food, he did eat dairy products (milk and eggs)....building muscle of any significance takes time. The chemicals that people are putting into their bodies these days speeds the process. But to be truly natural means you have to be very patient.

Peace.

You CAN be a Raw Veggie and a Bodybuilder. It does stake more time w/o the supplementation but can be done.
