No energy, sleepy and just blah feeling.
This morning the same thing and last night my husband called to wake me up and when i woke i was shaking badly and very nervous, a new symptom i'm experiencing, he asked did i knew to go to the hospital. I told him no just to bring me a damp cloth and he did and it calmed me down. What is going on i do not know and it scary.
It came to my mind to drink a green smoothie so i got two leaves of kale and a banana and juiced and drank a large glass, almost as soon as i got it down i started feeling better.
Has anyone else had an experience with "green smoothie" helping to heal your body?
I feel so much better now and will drink another glass full.
Ann :)
I have never experienced this before, but from what I have learned here on the board it could be a symptom of detox. Are you a diabetic? This also sound like the symptoms of low blood glucose.

Toxins create acidity to the body that greens neutralize. As far as in the middle of the night, the liver is pushing hard during the night and that is why hydration is imporant. it need all the oxygen it can get from being hydrated to work those toxins out. Supposedly the potassium was beneficial in the banana as well.............food period slows down detox.
this is just a response to detox in general and not to undermine your experience. I'm glad you had hubby there and you're feeling better.
I've have detox symptoms that felt very similar and thought I was dying or on the verge of having some condition. You're right,it can be scary. Be very gentle with your body and stay hydrated and wellnourished Blessed! :)

:) I feel a little better, it's going to be in over 96% today humidity will make it over a 102% i'm staying inside and drank plenty of water.
The tingling is much better today, it was very scary, not knowing if it was detox or not.
A couple of days ago i took a bath in 4 16-oz bottles of hydrogen peroxide, now i had not had these symptoms before i took the bath, i'm wondering could that have any connection.
Thanks for the support.

I tend to view detox as something our bodies do as an ongoing part of it's eliminations process. However, in terms of concetrated forms of detox or episodes of body trying to balance, I have a more Eastern view.
We see hands and feet as the points of energy doors. Myself, I notice when I am doing some heavy liver and kidney detox, my arms and hands get numb, weak and almost feels like they are not there. THe emotional parallel with detox makes us worry that some kind of convetional "condition" is onsetting.............stay raw and you will be fine. Please keep us posted about your progress. :)

:p Yesterday and last night i had to look at my arms and hands to make sure they were still there, i know that sounds funny but i couldn't feel them.
With all the damage i'm sure i have done when eating the S.A.D. way i am glad to go through the detox.
Thank you, everyone for your help and support.
How blessed we are to be able to make others feel better.

:) One day my poor husband is thinking i may not be around long and the next i'm laughing my head off.
Going RAW is having a new experience everyday some of them may not be pleasurable but afterwards a small bit of your new youthful self has started to come on the scene. A new body, a new self.

Hi blessed;
I hope you are feeling more like yourself today.
What you described sounded a lot like low blood sugar, since the smoothie helped alleviate it.
I was wondering, though, what do you put in your smoothie? I remember reading somewhere that a few people had the same problem when using buckwheat lettuce every day in their green smoothies (called Energy Soup by Ann Wigmore).
I was very interested in getting or sprouting a lot of buckwheat as it really sounded great to me, until I read that. Now I am more cautious. I would not use it every day now. Maybe 2-3x a week at most. That may not be an issue with you but I thought I would mention it.
If anyone wants the link for that, I can try to find it.

Yes, i drank two glasses of green smoothies and the symptoms went away.
I used kale from my garden and a banana to make it, also soy milk.
There in diabetes in my family, the link about the buckwheat if you can find it would be interesting.
I did not know that green smoothies would help with blood sugar but i guess it does.
Thanks for the information.

make sure to drink plenty of water every day, being dehydrated can cause all kinds of symptoms in the body, including the ones you mentioned.

Hi Ann,
I am new, and I am about 80% raw. I used to get tingling in my left arm at nite. I thought it was because I was sleeping on it, but it used to sometimes happen when I was on my right side. It has gone away almost completely, and I am not even 100% raw yet! I also used to have pins and needles in my legs, I used to call it my fat pains. That went away as well!!!

I had heard that if diabetes and high blood pressure runs in your family that my blood sugar could be out of wack, someone mentioned that so i got some today.
Just started taking it 3 tables 3 times a day with meals.
Even though i'm eating raw it will take time to heal everything in the body.
Thanks for all the support and i will drink more water and continue to eat RAW!
I'm so grateful to be on the right track.
Thanks to you all.
Ann :D

What you experienced sounds like my panic attacks when I had them... I would lose most of the feeling in my extremities and would shake uncontrollably until I had to take a pill for it.
I am glad your smoothies helped you!!! Hopefully it was the low blood sugar and you are able to even that out :)
