Hi, I hope I don't offend any one by doing this. I am searching for more fruit soup recipes ( I LOVE Alissa's watermelon soup). I found some that have ingredients I don't want to use, but I am posting them in the hopes that someone will help me figure out how to make them raw.

Here is one that sounds good. I wonder if you would use soaked dates instead of the sugar? I'm not sure how to substitute for the yogurt, tho.

2 pints strawberries
2 cups plain yogurt
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup water
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

Hi there - I've made a fabulous strawberry soup with just lots of strawberries and agave nectar as a sweetener. Dates would work also.

You can add cashews if you need a creaminess. It looks like you are thinking along the right track though. Playing around with recipes is how many of us find what works for us. Not everyong has the same taste buds too so what might work for one person, another could leave.

OH, this is EASY
1 pints strawberries
1 cup cashews
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup agave' nectar
1/2 to 1 cup water
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

take the cashews and soak for at least 4 hous and drain, put into a blender with the 1/2 cup water, (and put the other 1/2 cup water to the side) mix the cashews and water together, adding more of the water to keep it creamy, then add in your agave' nectar, cardamom, orange juice and strawberries, you may choose to reserve some of the strawberries to make it chunky, it is up to you.

let me know how you like it.

In addition to something like soaked and blended cashews for the creaminess of the yogurt, you could add a little schqueeze of lemon juice to get the extra tartness. Lemon is often nice anyway added in moderation to things with berries.

RP -

Why did you use only half the amount of strawberries and half the amount of cashews to make less than 2 cups 'yogurt'? I would appreciate tips of any kind to convert favorite recipes to raw. Thanks!
