I have yet to get Alissa's book and want to know if her recipes use good food combining "rules"?

Some do, some do not. But IMO, you can change a recipe to make it what you need it to be. For example, if there is a recipe for a raw pie and you don't want to mix fruit and nuts by making a nut-based crust, you could either use buckwheat groats (which is said to botanically be a fruit and not a grain) ground into flour and a touch of agave for the crust or simply make a crust-less pie or use dried fruit such as dried bananas for the crust.
If a savory meal recipe calls for veggies and nuts and perhaps a date for a slight balance in flavors by adding something sweet, use agave or stevia instead of the date(s).
The thing to keep in mind is that Alissa's book is much more than merely recipes, so even if you got it just for the inspiration, the information and the motivation it provides and made only a few recipes, it'd still be well worth it.

I agree with Rawkinlocs, here book is NOT just a recipe book, the main reason I bought it, was for the inspiration and testimonials, the fantastic recipes were a plus for me.
I have changed the recipes easily many times, I've use the suggestions above by Rawkinlocs, and they worked wonderfully.
I have also simply substituted things that sounded good to me, I often use coconut instead of nuts in a pie crust, to keep the food combining rules perfect for my body.
works great.

Thanks Rawk and RP!
RP- I gotta ask...what type of pies do you make with the coconut and date crusts?
I am still trying to find what works for my body. I know the dried apricots I had last not definitely do not! I woke up full and ate only watery fruits today (including a hopefully-non-heat-treated-mango!).
