I have been a vegetarian and on and off raw food eater for over 5 years now. My family eats a lot of raw food, but DH is not interested in doing all raw or giving up occasional meat.

I happened upon www.sharecolorado.com which is an organization that sells very cheap food (likely donated) to raise money for charity.

They have several different choices that you can purchase for very cheap. The produce package is only $15.00 and contains 12-15 produce items weighing 17-22 pounds.

There are other packages, and they all contain meats and lots of processed foods. When I was discussing trying a couple orders of produce my dh was very gung ho about it. I also showed him the other packages and he said: "I don't want to eat that much meat and junk".

It was so exciting. I had to actually contain the excitement within myself - LOL. :D

If anyone's interested, they also deliver to SD, WY, NE and NM. Just click on the link and see if there is a host site near you.

As I have yet to try their produce, I have no idea if it's organic or of what quality, but the price is very tempting. We could go through that produce VERY easily.

You are welcome. I guess I kind of strayed from the main topic, being that my dh has come a long way. He no longer desires to eat a lot of meat.

That was the progress I was referring to. He still wants a burger or piece of meat now and then, but definately not at every meal and he does make use of the soy substitutes.

It ended up being more of an informational about this food service! LOL
