I am currently reading a book by Dr. Bernard Jensen. He says that enzymes from food being available for digestion is a misbelief...disconcerting as he is usually more alternative in his thinking....

So what does he say about them and is he a raw foodist??

Which book of his are you reading?

Hi Alex -

Dr. Jensen's Guide To Body Chemistry and Nutrition.

He says enzymes are very important, but that the enzymes from food don't help with digestion. Just that one line. Very strange.

No, I don't think he is a raw foodist.

Thanks veganman!

I've never heard of this author before so I have placed holds on a few of his books at the library. I'll check him out.

Take the best care of yourself

Jensen promoted a minimum of 60% raw food in a healthy diet but believed that 100% was an unnecessary extreme.

Broadly-speaking, I am a huge fan of Jensen and his work (the success of which, he is justly world-famous for).
