Well, I need a plan and hope someone is willing to work with me to make one.

The goal.. lose as much weight as I can by June 2007 because my son is getting married in July 2007.

thus far with raw.. well. I have read alot.. bounced back and forth.. but am mainly raw. I know my bouncing has not helped me with the weight loss thing.

What I am looking for is a plan to reduce the weight, inches, no saggy skin, be healthy and look great by the time June gets here next year.

Whatever I am doing must not be right because although I feel better.. well.. not getting anywhere weight wise.. my fault I know.. not doing exercise.. I know this has a big part to losing..

But I need a plan and my brain just does not know how to start making one.

Will anyone help me?

I am 5'4" // been told although I am overweight I am pretty much porportionate.. I am 50 years old if that makes a difference.. To my knowledge I have no health problems to speak of and am not taking any meds at all. I know I can not run anywhere.. And now with the Texas heat... ugh.. don't know about the breathing part.. My work schedual is very sparadic so I need a plan that is very flexable as my scheducal isa flexable one.. sometimes work days sometime I work nights...need something for work snacks and at home... simplicity will be my key... I was thinking fruit smoothies in the am.. and green drinks lunch and evenings... but...geesh I need help...

Take the first step... Literally :) Walking has helped me shed almost 10 pounds in the last 16 days. I also use light weights for my upper body and do lunges, that kind of thing when I can remember.

And simplicity is nothing more than going 100%. It's remarkably easy, I thought it would be harder than anything but just fill yourself with cool summer fruits and veggies, juices and smoothies. Don't think of the stuff you "can't have"... your body will LOVE the way it feels when you feed it cucumber slices or "brownies".

And this board is here too to help and support :) All the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can do it!!

Using a treadmill will enable you to walk anytime you want to. You don't even have to get dressed. Most of the time I just wear a belt to hold the safety device.
This is summer and enjoy all of the fruit that is in season.
I sure hope you obtain this goal. This is such an important day and you should be as lovely as you want to be.
Just keep thinking how good you are going to look at your Son's Wedding. We are here to help you, RAW, RAW...RAW. You can do it..........

go simple raw, only fruits and veggies whole, no oil, not too many nuts, no gourmet dehydrated stuff, and exersize at least one hour each day.

you can join the bootcamp, it works, or you can get a life coach, who deals with raw.

there are lots of ways, but the best way, is the way that sounds good for you.

Once you get started, the changes you'll see and feel will keep you inspired to stick with it. That's never happened to me with any other way of eating! One of the first things I noticed is that my skin started "tightening up" - somone at work said I looked more toned after only 2 weeks. That was all the encouragement I needed.

As you've certainly read, too, it's about far more than weight loss. General health and nutrition, mood stabilization, openness, and connection to the planet are all wonderful side effects.

Just realized I spouted off without even answering your question in any direct way! Here are a few nuggets:

- Nothing is quicker and easier than fresh fruit - it's ideal for a meal or a snack.
- Wash and chop raw veggies as soon as you get home from the store, to pack into small containers for snacks, so you can just grab them when you leave for work.
- Make an easy raw salad dressing with a teaspoon of first-pressed extra-virgin olive oil, the juice of 1/2 a lemon, a little water to add volume if needed, and a spice or seasoning of your choice.
- Add walking to your day, even if it's only in small increments all over the place. Got a dog? Get up early in the morning and walk him, then walk him again at night, even if you have a backyard. Is there a grocery near you? Walk over there to shop. Live in the burbs or the country? Walk around the neighborhood and pay close attention to the foliage and trees.

I might recommend doing a consultation with someone who has experience in this sort of thing. With all due respect to all of us on this board, we are all on the journey, same as you, and while we may have valid and insightful ideas, if you have a clear and specific goal in mind, you may want to go to someone who has the experience to back up the talk =).

Or you can join rawfoodbootcamp or something like that. =)

As for consults, I'm currently working with Doug Graham, and it is really helpful. My goals are to lose about 25 more pounds and have more energy. You can e-mail me off list if you would like yeahbethany at hotmail dot com.

Good luck! =)

I second the raw food boot camp idea! There is structure, a plan, and folks who are going through the same problems you are. I love it there!!
