food ripening after picked?

Which foods continue to ripen after picking and which dont? I know bananas and avacados will cont. to ripen. what about strawberries? what are some more that will not ripen?

I think most fruit will continue to ripen.

I would think that ripening is the first step to decay and therefore they would not decay if they did not continue to ripen.
Some may ripen more quickly than others but they would all ripen.
