Do any of you eat it too? Whenever I eat an orange, I cut it into wedges with the skin on, because I like the plith (the white stuff) and it makes it easier to eat the plith is I cut it with the peel on, and sometimes I like to eat the peel too. I think it tastes really good, will it hurt me? I didn't think it should because you can eat orange zest, and not get hurt right?

Oh and a lot of times after eating an orange, I'll have a craving for almond or carrots. So I do what my body wants and have a carrot or a few almonds. And I find when I whenever I eat carrots after eating an orange, it tastes like a million times sweeter. Does anyone else have this happen to them?

Orange peel is okay to eat, I used to eat it in orange chicken dishes when I ate meat.

I always ate the orange peel when I was a kid.
I use the entire thing when I juice and I have tried adding the entire orange to an orange and mango smoothie and ruined it. The taste is too strong so now I discard it

always been one of those weird-types that LOVE the taste of orange peel. really makes people look at ya funny for some reason.

a cople of weeks ago after buying a 10 pound bag of fresh oranges and juicing about half of them, i took the leftover peels and sliced them into thein little strips and stuck them in the dehydrator overnight and a bit. got them super cruncy!

now when a recipe calls for a bit of orange zest, stick a little dryed peel in the old coffee grinder and BOOM - there it is! so easy!

sometimes if i have a liitle sweet craving, i grab a couple and munch!

I am quite sure orange peel has toxic chemicals in it and needs to be cooked to be consumed. The white stuff is the most nutritious part, however. If you eat a little peel it won't hurt you, but don't eat a lot or all the time. I've eaten a little here and there.
