:) Okay, now it is my turn to ask for help. LOL

Anyway, I really WANT to eat fruit until my evening meal, and then do a salad and possbily some kind of dessert if I have a craving, but I get cravings at the wrong time.

I'm good with fruit at the first meal, but when the second meal comes around I want a heavier meal, like a salad with avo or something like that. Then at dinner I crave fruit again.

I know some of you are gonna say "just listen to your body Sharon".... well, my body doesn't dig this combination because I get intestinal distress after the second meal, and it usually escapes in a very windy way during my martial arts class which is not fun for me and those who are stuck next to me.

So I am wondering if anyone has any tips for making sure I stay on fruit until the evening meal.

Now, I don't want to listen to my body at this moment in time because it wants something that my flesh is asking for, as my body retaliates in a bad way!

I REALLY want to listen to reason and sage advice from those of you who can offer it...so please offer away... :o

Sharon, I wish I could give you advice but I just wanted to say that my body is doing exactly the same thing.

I used to be able to eat fruit until dinner and can't seem to get back to that. I too, want something heavier at lunch and then fruit again at dinner.

Sometimes, though, I will start lunch with a green smoothie and then I won't be craving the heavier salads etc... I usually then want some fruit. Not always though.

Good luck!

I often have the same problem. But I don't consider it a problem. If I'm really craving something heavier, I try to eat it when I know the previous meal has digested. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I also take a digestive enzyme with the heavier meal. Maybe you can try that?

Here's an example for today:

3 peaches this morning

banana/spinach smoothie for lunch

then the craving for fats...so I had about a tablespoon of raw tahini mixed with some cacoa nibs and a little agave (I ate it out of my kids baby bowl with a baby spoon so it felt like a bigger treat!)

then the craving was gone.

dinner was a fruit salad

So, I allowed the craving to come and go with a little bit of fats.
Hope this helps!

Thank you ladies. I guess it is good to know I'm not alone. I will think of you tomorrow afternoon, lol.

I also think that I will have a lot more energy in Taekwondo if I just stick to fruit so maybe I'll use the trigger stuff as a reward for myself.

That was funny! My kids still use the little silver baby spoons and they are all grown up now! I love those baby spoons, they are cute.

I want to let you have my experience.
I was having the wind problem after I had a salad dish but I have discovered that it was because I had gotton into the habit of having an organic date (or 2)for dessert afterwards.
As soon as I gave up the dates the problem went away.
Maybe it is not the salad but just one ingredent that is causing the problem.
If you want to do the fruit for lunch why not have a few nuts (or a glass of nut milk) as well and that would satisfy you.
