Hi,

Can anyone suggest some good weight training programs. There are so many videoos out there, I don't know which ones are the best. I really need to work on my upper body especially. I have little strength in my arms and they often ache. I have heard of using bands and they are effective.

Thanks everyone.

Warmly,

Gaelen

What do you have available ? and are you willing to spend money on items (weights) you may not have ?

Hi,

I do have some handweights and am willing to spend money on additional things as well. I find that my arms get really weak from carrying heavy things and I want to build up my muscles.

Thanks,

Gaelen

I bought the new Boot Camp from Billy Blanks -- I am a sucker for infomercials. Anyway, it has the bands. I find it more challenging for my upper body than lower -- and I need more work on the lower. But my arms -- in just three weeks -- have definition like I never had before. I would recommend it. You can order it online.

Slim in Six is an awesome muscle endurance program! It has toned my upper and lower body and abs like crazy. It is a program that you can find at www.beachbody.com
Slim in Six is the beginner program and once you can finish that you can move onto Slim Series which is very advanced. This program won't give you huge, weight lifter type muscle because it is high reps and low weight. If you're looking for big bulging muscles, I would go with the P90 program that is offered on the beachbody website. Just depends on what you want! Beachbody customer service is superb too. If you don't like the program that you purchase, they'll return it no problem. I have done several different types of exercise programs (The Firm, Cathe Friedrich, Kathy Smith, Tae Bo, etc) and nothing has worked for me like Slim in Six and Slim Series!
