Why are cold sores a common detox?

I've gotten so many cold sores since starting raw! I rarely got them before raw. Why the sudden outbreaks? Everyone says that cold sores are caused by the herpes virus. So why are there more now that I'm raw?

Opinion:

-Because herpes outbreaks occur during periods of physical stress and detoxification.

-My experience is you will have less and less of these as healthy time moves on! :)

its bringing your illnesses to the surface so as to eliminate them. Just like I had bladder problems before 100% raw and after I started having severe bladder pain and then one day it all stopped. My bladder feels soooo good now.

there are many ways the body releases toxins, through the breath, nose, ears, bowels, uretha, skin, etc.


so bad breath, cold sores, runny nose, itchy ears, diarehha (sp?), bladder infections, rashes, all are the only way the body can eliminate the toxins that we have built up.

please remember, that we have heard how a two year old child that has only been on solid cooked food for a few months, detoxes over a period of months, so imagine how much your body is detoxing based on how long you've eaten cooked food.

Before one can see any weight loss? I've heard that if ones body is in a sick state or overly toxic you may see a little but the lost of weight will be put on hold until the body is cleansed.
Has anyone heard of this? Whether it's true or not i don't know, just wondering.

Makes sense to me that the body will heal what it finds most important first.

Although I'm with you. I'd like to see SOME results sometime soon here!! Two months and nothing changed or improved; good or bad; weight the same. EVERYTHING the same. :rolleyes:
