I feel that everyone is entitled to eat what they choose, and our board is for raw foodists, not fresh foodists, or sproutists, or fruitarians, or 80/10/10, although we can certainly discuss all the different avenues of eating raw vegan food.
But what I see sometimes, is people on this board, really think they MUST say something about everything that is posted, and instead of enjoying the fact that there are many ways to eat raw food, they simple think their way is the ONLY way.
I eat mostly fresh fruits, and that works for me, but I do love some of the gourmet foods and the things made with cacao butter and cacao and almond butter and processed things, I do eat some greens and sprouts and such.
I think it is all a matter of what each person likes, but unfortunately sometimes people don't realize that it takes alot of energy and time and courage to post a recipe, type it all out, make it, share their thoughts with everyone and then sit back to hear what others think, ONLY to have them make judgements about it.
I've seen real full blown arguments on this board, between the people who only eat fruit, and the ones who only eat vegetables, those who won't eat sprouts and those who live on sprouts.
It seems so odd to me that we, as a group of people attempting to achieve a healthy lifestyle, choose not to achieve the love that this lifestyle brings.
I hope everyone keeps sharing their information with the board, and posting great recipes that theyve found and not listening to those who don't like that information, they really are few and far between.

As in life....I was always taught to "Take what you need, as leave the rest".....

I agree with you 100% RP. I don't like to join in or make comments for one side or the other in these "debates" I just state what I do for myself and what I feel best on for ME.

We all have different experiences...different cultures.....and well ALL have a different opinion, LOL! You should always respect someones opinion even if you disagree.
I told my everyone for years that the apple pealing was bad for you and you should not eat it! That was my opinion. Later I found out I was wrong and I corrected myself to those I told that too. One person said to me "I knew that you were wrong, but I thought you were intitled to your opinion".
We don't have to go around and burst everyones bubble about what food should or shouldn't be eating.
For example: A better answer to the question: Should I eat honey?
Well for me I do/don't because I feel this........way............................about it. But that is a personal choice you have to make.
That is a much nicer expression then YOU SHOULD/SHOULDN"T EAT THAT BECAUSE......
Do you see what I mean?
I think this mostly goes along with what you were saying RP.

I agree with you RP! Thanks for the reminder.
The thing that I find that is funny is that if you listen to your body it can change often or every once in awhile (just like Alissa says it will).
I have heard of people doing 811 that felt great for quite awhile, then they felt the need to go low fruit higher fat and felt great for awhile, then they went more supplements etc...
I used to always think that what was best for one person was best for everyone. I don't feel that way anymore!
Who knows what MY body will need next year or in a few years. :)

You busted me, RP. I am guilty of this. I guess when some post recipes to something then newbies come along and may think - oh good, I can eat this all day long, cause it's raw! But it really isn't. So like Lay-Lay says, I use the "...my own experience with this is..." so I don't offend anyone but try to inform.
I think it is nice to stay informed on certain matters.
I will never forget all the things I thought were really raw that weren't, for instance those canned black olives. I don't want to say it was ignorance - I really believed they were 'raw'...but I appreciated those who explained it to me, and why not only was it not raw, but it really wasn't health promoting.
So now, even when I eat some kind of recipe that isn't optimal, it makes a bigger difference to me that I know it's not an optimal food, whether or not I choose to eat that food.
I guess it's like seeing the hole in the ground before falling in. :o And then choosing to walk around it the next time....and taking a whole separate road the next time...

i listended to an interview by a raw food guru that was very interesting to me...he stated that this way of life puts us more in tune with our true nature, which is peaceful and loving...more inclined to realize our oneness...rather than to be at war or in conflict with one another...in order to have peacefullness on earth we must first have peace within ourselves and with others...even when others are different from us....a huge percentage of harmony with other beings is allowing...allowing them to be where they are without judgement...i have felt at times very defensive on this forum because my eating syle is not common here...and that is my problem i am addressing....my main objective here is to be with other people who believe in living in harmony with the universe...who believe this lifestyle is a positive action in their life...lord knows, we face enough misunderstanding in our public life....so i embrace the spirit of this forum...though many times we get caught up in debate(which is not helpful)...and see how we are all taking a huge stride in consciousness and assisting not only ourselves but the whole of creation in healing and become more and more of what we are destined to be.....Melissa
