my 1st papaya.. I was saving it for a fruit pud but it going a bit too ripe (still greeny yellow but soft spots) so I guess it needs to be eaten up.
Only thing is... i've had my puds for the day - i'm onto salad.
Any sort of papaya dressings or anything anyone has tried?
Otherwise I guess i'll let it get riper and try it in the morning.
TIA xx

Never mind about the dressing, I figured something out and it was nice.
Here is something I DO know something about! I love papayas. Personally, I think that since you haven't had one before, you should really have a piece plain. They are so good! It may take a little getting used to, but I suspect you will love it. Also, it's hard to let a papay get too ripe since they are often a little green and bland near the stem. Just slice in half, deseed and eat, either peeling or eating like an orange section -- leaving the skin. You may have to cut out any yucky spots but often the best papayas are the ones that look ready for the compost bin. I hope you enjoy it!

thanks Lyis :)
I didn't realise I could leave it longer... I may try that - this one wasn't anything special plain :(
I really wish I could try these things tree ripened and really fresha nd alive - like Kirks figs too!!!

I love papaya with lemon or lime...it's perfect by itself! It also is divine with passion fruit and other tropical fruits...
