OUCH! My credit card!!!...$499 later...I really CANNOT afford this, but even DH was egging me on!
I got a combined blender/food processor from Moulinex - my old blender just died and I've got so many recipes I'd like to try...
I was very controlled - just bought a "good" blender ($99) to replace my old one - even paid & walked out of the store with it. But regretted it and went back to exchange it for the $499 one... :o
Send me cyber-space Raw-energy packed vibes that business picks up & we can actually pay for this extravagance! Looks like my dehydrator will have to wait a bit longer... :( ;)

Believe me, I understand your angst. I have eschewed credit cards, but, if I had one, I'd have probably charged all the "good" stuff, too.
I'm so into bargain hunting since I left my full-time job and am freelancing and trying to build a business. I received my "bargain" Excalibur 9-tray dehydrator a few days ago (I got it on eBay at a less-than-retail price because it was "pre-owned" though never used), so that was one expense. And my blender died last year before I decided to go raw, so I didn't replace it. So, I bought a 1950's Vitamix from a guy 2,000 miles away for $45 (& $7 shipping - low, huh) and am keeping my fingers crossed that the Vitamix motor is all it's reputed to be. It should be arriving any day. Now, I just need to find a food processor; After my experience with the low-price processor's motor burning up, I think I'm gonna have to pay full price, though.
Keep us informed about all the goodies you whip up in the Moulinex!
BTW, I clicked on what I assumed was your business link at the bottom of your signature, but I'm not sure I understand the One Group thing. Do they act as a broker or something? Is that the way to buy your products?

Thanks RawTruth - I probably should have been more patient...I even *have* some items on eBay on "watch" (a dehydrator amongst them....) Still my Moulinex is sitting on the kitchen bench and it *does* look good and *sounds* good (not noisy & sounding on it's last legs like my old one). I will just have to use it HEAPS, doing lots of Raw recipes to justify the expense!
About Miessence - ONE Group is the Australian company that makes it. You can buy on-line by clicking on the USA flag (then prices are in USD) and it's shipped to your door. I'll have "my own" site in the next couple of weeks but currently it's a copy of the main company site (ONE Group). There's *heaps* I could say about Certified Organic vs "organic-as-the-latest-marketing-ploy", (2 drops of organic lavender oil in a vat of chemical muck DOES NOT an organic product make..!). Feel free to PM me if you like.
