Hey Guys-
I am on day 116 of 100% raw...I have been really exhausted for the past 2 weeks and especially the past two days - I wake up tired and go to bed tired - and take two hour naps and am still tired. I know it is a sign of detox and am waiting it out - but I was hoping if some of you guys who have been through this type of exhausted would please post - how long your exhaustion lasted and how you feel now. I know everybody is different - but I'd love to hear your stories - it would bring me a lot of comfort. Thanks so much!!!

Hey,
If you have been that tired for two weeks then its probably not a sign of detox. Try adding 2 or 3 more avocados to the mix and see if you have a boost of energy. It could be that you are not getting enough high quality fat and chol. in your diet. Just a thought.....

It could be so many things... what do you eat on an average day? and how much water do you drink?

Hey Thanks for the responses everyone - you guys are awesome...
Okay average day:
Usually in the morning: green juice (lemon, kale, spinach, apple & romaine)
then watermelon or nectarines or banana - blueberries - I always eat the fruit by themselves..space them out by about an hour or so....
Some days I might add raw granola in toward mid - day and push the salad to dinner...
Lunch time: is usually a large salad with brocoli, tomato, spinach, and cucumbers (sometimes corn and sometimes avocado) and most times I add a flax cracker into the mix as well
For a snack I have nuts (walnuts w/ raisins or pecans w/ dates) or another piece of fruit ....or I'll have a smoothie
for dinner I may have a salad and or a dehydrated goodie (lately raw pizza)
*** oh and the water issue...I thought that might be the culprit so for the past two days I have been vigilant about consuming at least 8 glasses of water a day....
Just in case the question of bms come up - for the past two days - i have gone 4 -to 5 times....in one day.
Thanks for the interest and support - it really means a lot.

Forgot to mention..For the past two days - I got a sore on my tongue - the last time I went raw - I had the same issue while detoxing - and got a load of sores... Plus my hair has been falling out like crazy.
I still feel like this is an amazing lifestyle - and am not down at all on RAW - - just trying to provide as much information as possible.
Thanks again.

I had the same problem around the same time. It's when I took the avocados and heavy food OUT that helped me a lot. So...just a thought ;)

As I took my afternoon nap I layed there and put on my CPAP machine and had another thought for you.
Have you ever had yourself sleep tested? I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea.
It is my plan to lose all the weight I need to to not have to use my machine any longer but I will tell you this, that even thin people can have Sleep Apnea.
Once I got tested and started wearing my machine It was an amazing difference. It was not immediate but over 2 weeks I went from exausted to the point of not being able to get up to being able to function.
Just a thought
Now with my eating raw I am getting even better every day and my sleep is deeper and more refreshing. I even need LESS!

Are you against adding B-12? What about iron or anemia? Or do you think it is all just detox.
I'm usually one to think that most health problems are from one nutritional deficiency or another, or a malabsorption problem with the gut. So it may take me a while to chalk everything up to detox like it is usually done in the raw world. ;)

I've heard this a few times before as well, it might be interesting for you to try for a little bit and see what it does for you. Sorry! I hope you start getting your energy back soon!

Sounds to me like you might not be getting enough calories.
I agree with Sleek98 - detox is a real, normal thing, but I don't feel it's wise to automatically blame all of our problems on it
