do you use for the raw brownie recipe? Yummm...or was it fudge? Anyway, what kind and where can I get it?

Also, any suggestions of where to find raw carob? I went to the heatlh food store here but all they had was toasted carob. The employee there knows I am raw vegan but she said there wasn't really a difference between the raw and the toasted and the toasted would still be healthy...but I would assume there is a difference...a big difference! Any suggestions on that as well?

Thanks in advance!

You want to get cacao powder for chocolate. There are several on-line sites you can buy that and carob:

Toasted is still toasted, try ordering online for the raw carob powder :)

I use raw carob powder. I also use organic cocoa powder, which is toasted, but then again I heard cacao might not be truly raw because of processing...

2 lbs/ $2.96
5 lbs/ 6.25

I order nuts/dates/seeds/carob from Jaffe all the time with great results

Alissa sells raw carob powder and I hear it is delicious. I am personally not a carob fan, it really bothers my tummy and who wants a tummy-ache after eating a nice dessert!

So I use an organic dark cocoa powder. While not raw I use very little and not very often and as Sharon mentioned above that "raw cacao" might not be truly raw anyway.
