american harvest food dehydrator question

I just bought off of ebay an american harvest food dehydrator model FB30/50.

The lid has a hole that when you look down onto the top you can see the inner circle rows of the trays. Is this just a vent type thing or is it missing some type of piece?

i have a harvester as well. that is how they are made...just work around the hole....there is a person on this forum who makes everything and you can tell she has a round dehydrator...her crackers and bread kinda look like doughnuts!!!!

I have an american harvest too! I love it! You will have a great time with it. No your not missing anything. It is design with the hole in the center.
