I thought up this little recipe and it was so good and satisfying that my hubby ended up eating mine instead of his box of nasty, gummy, sugar rolled sour junk. Nature invented sour first and nature does it better!

This recipe makes VERY sour candies

You'll need equal parts:

-Ripe Raspberries
-Lemons
-Limes
-Blueberries (optional)
-Blackberries (optional)

Mix the berries as is in a bowl and peal the lemons and limes. Section the lemons and limes into wedges and cut the wedges short-wise to make three little triangles per each wedge. You can put the lemons and limes in the dehydrator for an hour to cut down on excess water and make them a little more gummy in texture but it isn't really needed. It just makes them a bit more like candy. Mix all ingredients together in a bag and sneak into the theatre in your purse or coat and voila!

What if you tried placing a pinch of baking soda inside the raspberry cavity?

Remember Zotz? (those fizzing candies)

Heh, that sounds interesting. I don't know if baking soda is considdered raw or even edible, but I wonder if it would fizz. That would be funny.

Oh and a note on lemons and limes: Before going raw I could never eat a lemon or lime except for occasionally having some of the juice in my water but after a month raw I started eating them like an orange with no problem. I'm convinced that raw has made me able to eat them and I actually crave them now. I wonder if it has been like that for anyone else.
