Hello all
I just wanted if anyone has used pilates during the 30 day challenge, how often did they do it and what were the results?
I have just bought a dvd called 'The Method, Pilates all in one work out'
So if anyone has used this or other pilates methods i would love to hear their stories.

Hi!
I do Pilates! It is great ab workouts! Your abs get hard and toned with Pilates, as far as I've experienced!

thanks for your responses, but what about weight loss, can it provide good results as far as inch loss is concerned?

I'm not sure if Pilates alone can make inches disapear, but combined with cardio it should make a very noticable difference! If you do it right with the breathing and holding your stomach in right, it you get quit a good sweat. But I think for some really big changes I would combine it with cardio.
I hope this helps!

I did Pilates faithfully throughout last January (3x per week, at least 20m per session), and had started to notice an overall tightening coupled with a small amount of weight loss. I also felt taller, and my posture remained open with more ease.
I found that my form improved dramatically after 1-2 weeks, and I started getting more nuance out of each exercise. I felt that I could sustain myself on a beginner's workout for a long time, gradually increasing my form in small amounts, and remain challenged.
I have the Mari Winsor series, by the way.
Sadly, I was sick for the entire month of February and did not exercise. This was a blessing in disguise as it led me to my naturopath which eventually let me to raw foods. I am about to start Pilates again and would love to chat more as we go along.

Sounds good! Pilates is a great exercise I think! It is WAy FUNNER then crunches! Not that is the raeson I do it or anything! It is fun and makes your abs harder then many many crunches have done for me in the past! And the more Pilates you do, the mroe your abs keep improving!
