View Full Version : Ear Problems While Fasting

I'm on Day Three of a week long juice fast. Everything is going fine except for a problem with my ears. One seems to be popping (or not popping) as if I'm on a plane even though I'm doing normal activities. I'm hearing an echo of my own voice and the things around me. It's extremely distracting.
This seems to come and go, though it's happening for long stretches of time today. Has anyone else experienced this?

My husband and I both had stopped up and popping ears as an early detox stage. I don't remember how long mine lasted but I think his lasted a little while. Since you are fasting though, you may clear out sooner.

I am on day 8 of the Master Cleanse and have noticed this has been happening with me on and off as well. When I clean my ears I noticed a thick white substance in there which is not what I normally see so I am assuming it is from the ear canal cleaning itself out. I find it a bit annoying too but mine passes quite quickly so I don't let it get to me too much. Anyone have tried ear candling? That is supposed to clean out your ears. Does it work well?

I'm relieved to know that this has happened to other people. The ear issue has gone away now, but I don't need to worry if it comes back :)

My ear problems went away.... but only temporarily as it turns out. I think my body is reacting to something in my environment rather than an actual detox. I'm perfectly fine at home, but the ear problem comes back every day about an hour after I arrive at work. I work in a very old and musty school building, so there is who knows what floating around in the air. :(

Did the building bother your ears before? I've noticed from eating a raw vegan diet for awhile that I sense toxins better (don't really want to say I'm more sensitive, but just that I sense it better since I'm cleaner now--but I guess that's the same thing!).
Chlorine pools make me so ill.

No, I didn't have any problems with my ears from it before, but it always set off my allergies. So I guess it's all connected.
