I made a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies (from Living Cuisine cookbook). This is my second batch - the first were so good that I had to make more. I did this batch the exact same way but these cookies taste a little tiny bit sour. I dehydrated for 24 hours,by the way.

Does the sour taste mean they are no good and should be tossed?

the sour taste means they have fermented, who knows why, sometimes, it's too much moisture in your dehydrator, or not high enough temp in the beginning, I always start my dehydrator out at 145 degrees, then turn down, especially with any type of grains, or anything that could sour.

maybe try another batch and keep tasting to make sure it doesn't sour on you.

so sorry this happened?

do you have a dog?

Mine loves my raw mess-ups and mistakes, and trust me, I MAKE PLENTY OF THEM. lol

how long do you keep dehydrator at 145 before turning it down??
