Hello everyone,

Hi I am relatively new to the raw diet world. I still haven't actually started the process yet, I'm still waiting on my juicer, my book, food processor, and etc to arrive in the mail. Anyhow I went out tonight with a few of my friends and we were talking about juicers and since I'm relatively new to the raw food world I told her what juicer I had bought which was a Jack LaLanne's Power Juicer. I thought that it was a good brand, so one of my friends says that it wasn't a good juicer because you won't get all the nutrients from the food as you do with an Omega juicer. As I said before I am relatively new and I was wondering about your thoughts on this issue, and if some juicers are better than others? Thanks! :)

I have a Jack Lalane juicer and it works for me. I never had an Omega one so I'm not a very reputable source. I love my Jack Lalane juicer.

yes, some juicers are better than others, like some cars are better than others, but it really depends on what is important to you?

if the cost is important, I've heard the Jack La Lane is a good choice,

if you wish to juice greens, then you'll want a different juicer, etc.

besides, who says you only need one juicer? or you need to keep this one forever? you can always upgrade later, and sell this one to someone who can't afford a more expensive one,

that is what I did.

I bought a Salton juicer, then gave it to my son, when I bought a Champion.

I am not familiar with this juicer so can not comment but I understand that a Twin Gear is better than a centrefugal for extracting nutrients.
