Wow! It is happening :) Last night I came home and my sweetie said "you look lovely honey, so radiant." Then I ran into a man I know at Wild Oats today. I told him I was eating raw, and he said "well, whatever you are doing, you look so radiant, you can tell you are doing something new... I am going back to vegan!" He told me at least 3 or 4 more times how great I looked. Of course I told him to go raw and wrote down Alissa Cohen's book on a piece of paper for him ;) THEN about 15 minutes later thes cute 25ish year old guy came up to me and asked me if I am a model.. he said "I was wondering if I could take some photos of you!"... I am 38! Anyway, it is good to be a "Raw Yogi!" I have been saying this mantra to myself since I started Bikram Yoga... lol :)

Congrats! That's so awesome! Keep up the good work, and keep spreading the raw food love. :)
I noticed a lot of differences in my appearance after I started raw too. The biggest one was when my boyfriend saw me after my first week 100% raw (we only visited each other every week-end) and noticed that my eyes were SHINY! He said they looked so alive and before they were kind of dull. I love it!

JaniceJourney ... Isn't it awesome?!!! Raw is soooooo worth it, isn't it! Congrats on how great you're doing!! So - when does the modeling start???
PixieLed, I noticed that when I first went raw as well - shiny, sparkling eyes. -- and had folks comment on how "good" I looked. 2 years later, I still feel great!

This second time I have been raw has been so much better, thanks to this site, and raw cacao ;)
First time I was Raw, I was one of the original journalers on the from sad to raw site, and there was not nearly as much support online.
Also, this time I have not lost more then 5 lbs, which is perfect. The advice about making sure you build muscle so when you do lose weight you don't look too thin was GREAT advice. I started yoga right after a thread that I read about loosing too much weight here, and the Bikram yoga REALLY has added to my raw experience and helped me look more healthy then skinny... life is sweet. AND my skin is really starting to clear up again. This site RAWKS!!!

that is SSOOOOO awesome!
People ask me how old I am because my hair is very light blonde naturally and people equate that with grey for some reason and they ask me because my hair gives away my true age, while my face still looks youthful.
Cheers!

Wow Janice you are so pretty! I wish my hair would be like yours! Until like 2nd grade my hair was white blonde and wild. Then my hair was straight (with slight waves in the right places) with highlights of every imaginable hair color but mostly blonde. Now it is beyond frizzy, fairly curly on must days, horribly and truly ugly, unmanigeable, and a dull ugly color (like dark grey blondeish brown?) any advice lol?

Well, it took me a long while to understand how to make my curls work best. The pic with my shorter hair shows more how it looks now, the longer hair was before I made some styling changes. The key is never brush or comb your hair... never. I finger comb in the shower with the conditioner still in, and then scrunch towel dry very careful not to disturb the integrity of the curls and then let dry without messing with it, try not to move it around to much. It will look sort of weird while drying but the less you touch the better. THEN when it is dry you can flip your head over and take your fingers at your scalp and shake out the curls for more body :) My hair is long again and looking the best it EVER has in my 38 years. The key is don't touch or comb it until it is totally dry. HTH :)
