anyone have the lap band surgery before going raw?

What was your experience with the lap band surgery?

At first she took off about 60 pounds, then she figured out how to cheat and put almost all of it back on. Her eating habits are horrible: cheez doodles, cracker jax and other crap. Worse than the SAD diet, I think. She loves drive thru fast "food".

She says she's glad she got the surgery because otherwise she'd be even heavier.


I had another very heavy friend who was considering the surgery and I shared my other's friend experience with her; she hasn't spoken to me since. I'm sure she thought I was crapping all over her dream, altho my intent was to let her know that there are ways around the band.
