View Full Version : Down 9 pounds!!!!!

I'll post this in my journal too of course but I'm just so darn stoked I wanted to share the triumph! :D
I figured I'd ruined my metabolism for life and that I'd every so slowly drop a pound or two at a time. (I know that will eventually happen but wow!)
After my Curves workout I stepped on the scale and weighed myself. My eyes popped out of my head and onto the floor. I reached down and got them, stuck them back in and then weighed again. Down 9 pounds! In ONE week. :D
I always weigh there, and it's a medical scale so I know it's tried and true.
I think my body likes raw! And after being on tons of diets and losing tons of weight (and then regaining of course) I don't think I've lost that much in a week ever. Not even on the master cleanse.
I'm eating ice cream for breakfast almost every morning. And I ate fudge last night. What kind of "diet" is that? Not even! This is my new life folks and I'm gona sing it's praises. Alissa I could kiss you! :)
Okay, I'm calm. Gona go make more ice cream.

That is AWESOME! It is so easy this way, isn't it. I said the same thing you did when I discovered I could eat coconuts & banana everyday, and still lose weight. We are feeding our body in the best & most optimal way possible!
Once again, continued sucess!

Awww, Shannon I'm so HAPPY for you!! A big congratulatory (((HUG))) to ya!
Keep that enthusiasm girl! ;)

Yay! Congratulations! :p
Keep in mind that this next week you may not lose as much. I lost 8 pounds the first week and for a few days the 2nd week actually gained some of it back. Now at 3 weeks, I'm at a 12-14 pound loss. Others have mentioned not losing much right away or gaining weight at the beginning while our bodies are doing their work inside. I certainly don't mean this to burst your bubble... just forwarning to not be discouraged if the scale doesn't move as much the 2nd week. That's all :D Maybe it's a weird sounding motivation, but my heart's in the right place :)
You'll probably find, too, that the 2nd week goes by much quicker. And the 3rd even quicker still while this all becomes habit.
Ain't it great??? :D Keep it up!

Thanks guise. :)
SedonaSun, jeez man, did ya have to? Just kidding but honestly, the heads up is good cuz' I probably woulda sat on the scale and cried next week if I hadn't have known that...
I HOPE the next weeks seem faster, this one really dragged out. Course that's probably cuz' I don't have my dehydrator yet too. But, it's a comin'

How wonderful and I know you feel great - add this to the list of reason for you to stay raw. I can just imagine eyeballs rolling on the floor :D I am so easily amused :p

Just think of all the calories you have lost 3,500 calories per pound. That is a lot to times by 9. Great job!!!!!
Walkin on Water,
I know you've got to be stoked to see that much of a change on the scale. ;) Keep up the good work. I think you can tell how much your body likes the raw lifestyle. Not to change the subject, but what is the ice cream and the fudge you eat. Is this in Alissa's book? I'm still waiting for mine to come in the mail :D Again, I'm so happy for you and take each day one at a time.
Life's a journey, enjoy the raw ride!

Woohoo! Congratulations! What a way to start! I'm on day five and I haven't lost a pound.
You had fudge and ice cream?? Were these recipes in Alissa's book?
