Not only for decoration, but because you feel there is something more. Maybe the colors of the food have some subtile influences inside our bodies?

Yes, I do! I made a post a while back about eating to balance the chakras. If you are familiar with the chakras you know that they are each a different color and rule different aspects of our bodies, minds and spirits and the color of food we eat or the colors we wear/expose ourselves to, have an influence on these things. Colors are also very appealing to the eye and make the meal that much more satisfying.

From my yoga training and experiments with sensitive persons I am acquainted with the chakras.

lissomllama,

could you tell us more about the chakras - do you have some good links you can recommend?

all the time! The colors correspond to different antioxidants, so it helps to have some orange/yellow, some red, some blue, etc. And the greens have a lot going for them too! Making a rainbow on your plate is such a wonderful way to get all those antioxidants and nutrients in!

Yes, for the chakras, to balance moods, and to get all types of nutrition. And plus I love rainbows.

Well, I never really thought about it. But, do to a recent event, I really need to eat more green foods. :( I usually really like green foods, but I haven't wanted them.
