Do you have any green juices that your kids have loved?
I have been adding juices to her milk to help stretch out the milk per day.
I was thinking that if I made a raw nut milk that she might like maybe mixing it with a green drink, she may just start drinking the raw nut milks.
Thank you,

I have found that the key is to add some apple to the green juice. My brother (who only likes soda and ice tea) likes the green juice I make him. It has sunflower sprouts, kale, cucumber, and an apple. Good luck! I'm glad you are introducing raw foods to your daughter. :)

My kids like green smoothies best if I add pineapple, apple and banana.

My son also loves green smoothies, but just if I add some freshly ground flaxseeds in it-I guess he likes the nutty flavor or just a thicker smoothie. I am happy about it since that helps him not to have rashes.

I can't get my daughter to eat any veggies. She just licks the dip off and re-dips. haha So I tried the green smoothy thing. I got the recipe from Victorias book and changed it a bit.
In a big blender, I have one of those old ones, add:
1/2-1 cup of Strawberries
1-2 bananas
1/2 head of romane lettuce
1/2-1 cup spinach
1 celery stick
Add enough water to 3/4 fill blender around the food(can add more later if too thick for them)
A straw to drink it is a must in my house! :)
Blend together for a few minutes until as smooth as you can get it.
I then fill a cup 1/2 full and squeeze half an orange into the rest of the cup. She asks for thirds most of the time.
*sometimes I have to belnd 3/4 of the ingred a second to get them all to fit in the blender!
Some kids just don't like the Green look. Get one of those cups and straw types that you can't see through and that wont matter.
This is her only source of veggies as to date. 1 month 100% raw for my two kids!! yeah
Hope this helps.

I started my son out on the "juice" part of the recipe below at 9mo. Then beefed it up into the smoothie; we have this everyday! He is just two and goes through about 3-4 sippy cups a day!

My toddlers do mainly fruit smoothies
I occassionally add , sprouts, barley green and a few times each week make the smoothie with a nut milk as the base.

I am going to have to try this for my children.
When you make the smoothie base do you add water at all?
Thanks for posting this!

Just made a pineapple, romaine, orange juice and green grape smoothie. Quite tasty, frooze the extra for "lime" sherbert later this week.

Start small on the greens, add just a little bit. Use sweet fruits. Pineapple and banana really cut the bitterness of the greens. Also, greens like spinach are very mild, so start with that, just to get her used to the color and show her that the taste is still great.
We used to have muscleman contests at the breakfast table after drinking our green smoothies. (We'd all have to make muscles and feel them and judge who was the strongest that day from the green smoothies!) We started this when my son was 3. He's had one almost every single day since then. He's 7 now. He can drink a green smoothie that's loaded with dandelion greens, parsley, kale, swiss chard, any of them, and not blink an eye! I think the secret is to start when they are younger.
Just start slowly and soon you'll be amazed at how much greens you're able to get in your kids diets!!!

AJ just beat me to it. My grandson doesn't do veggies, but my daughter will put spinach in his fruit smoothies and you can't even taste it. Does change the looks of the smoothie, but not the taste.

Great tip! I'm going to try this.
