Hi all~
It's been awhile since I posted but I have been lurking.

I need your opinions: I am 30 weeks pregnant, raw has been going really good lately but I did have about a 6 week struggle during my 2nd trimester with cooked.. I feel really great back on raw, barely even feel pregnant!! But I wonder, I am down about 5 lbs from my starting weight.
Now I am about 70 lbs over weight so I can certainly stand to lose weight,, I just worry that baby is growing ( she seems to be, my stomach sure is huge) but the rest of me seems to be shrinking.... even though it is only a 5lb drop, I can tell that my clothes are getting much looser in other areas.
SOOOOOOOO,,, what do ya think.. am I doing ok? Baby seems active and seems to be thriving.
My midwife is somewhat nervous about the weight loss and even more nervous about eating raw, even though she is being great and supportive about it.

Any comments sure would be appreciated,, thanks!!
Jamie :)

If you want my opinion, I think you are fine. Baby is growing and is doing fine, and you are losing weight which you need to loose. If you would just want to start, I would say go slow, but if you are already there - don't worry. I would be more worried about toxins spilling into your blood in big amounts, but then again, when I was pregnant, I felt so nauseated for the first 7 months, that I stopped eating meat and most things. All I could stand was fruits and sweets. I lost around 7 pounds and I was not overweight. My baby(who is almost three now) is actually very healthy, although it might be due to breatfeeding and nonvaccining too.

Hello!

Since you stated that you have weight to lose to begin with I would not worry about it at all. When I was pregnant with #3 I was about 100 pounds overweight. I lost 20 lbs while pregnant with him and he was fine. He weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and is now a healthy thriving 4 year old. Really, you are eating the best possible food for yourself and your baby! Are you doing any green drinks? If not that would be a good idea.

My mom lost weight with each of her pregnancies. From what I have read it is common for overweight moms to lose a little when pregnant.
