I've had a real problem with being constantly bloated while on a raw diet. In fact, when I started slipping a year ago and eating cooked food, it went away! Then I went back to an all-raw diet, and it came back. But I read some posts where people said that it can be your body adjusting and that it would go away, so I've just been wearing hubby's big Tshirts and not worrying about it. And I've noticed the last few days - it's just gone!

I don't know if it's coincidence or related, but I had my first Mudslide three days ago after swearing off almonds because I'd be terribly bloated if I even ate one. Mudslides have a whole half-cup of almonds! And about the time I started making them is when I stopped being so bloated. I'm not madly craving soy chikin nuggets anymore, and I'm not always hungry like I was.

I hope this means that my body has changed and adjusted. I certainly feel more balanced. Also, even though I decided to throw caution to the wind and indulge in raw shakes and an avocado every day, I'm not gaining any weight at all. I seem to be maintaining at a lower-than-normal weight for me.

It took eight weeks (56 days) at 100 percent raw to get to this point. And I like where my body's at, I wouldn't mind staying here for awhile. ;)

YAY! I'm so happy to hear that you've found your little niche where you're comfortable at and which makes you feel your best :)

That is encouraging to hear! I have been pretty much 100% raw since mid-May and I have really had lots of bloating. I was hoping my body would adjust and I think it is--albeit slowly.

Thanks for letting us know! And congrats on your flat tummy!

:p I use to had a terrible problem with bloating now my food is digesting much better and no more large belly.
It seemed that i had a heaviness in the bottom of my stomach for days now that feeling is gone.

Is taking enzymes a temporary fix for transitioning, or is it the kind of thing that you develop a dependence on? I haven't wanted to start on enzymes because I don't want to start a supplement that I'd be having to take on a permanent basis.
