I am looking for a hand held grain grinder that makes flour and an oat flaker that makes oat flakes, please?
I did a search and the links are out of date and/or the businesses aren't selling them anymore.
Any ideas?
Thank you very much :)

I live in Oregon. Not anywhere near a major Mall though :).
Thanks

This is the one that many of us jumped upon when it was on sale at that Villaware outlet store.

...So what is the verdict from "the many" who jumped at this? Is it sturdy? Does it do the job well?
And just what are you using it for in your raw diet?
Thanks

The link with the mill grinder that Luna Lin posted is a great little machine. I really like it and getting it at the sale price they used to have ($25.00 I think) was really a great deal. I grind oat groats and other grains easily and you can run them through a second (or 3rd time) if you would like a thinner flake. I don't eat many grains anymore but still am glad to have this for the times I do make oat flakes for rawnola.

I am SO happy that I bought it! Sometimes I want flaked oats, sometimes I don't--it's convenient to just pay for groats and deal with my wants however I feel the need and not having to buy whole groats AND the flaked.
It is well built, has a nice weight to it because of the rollers. I am SO happy with it!
I gotta say, it's fun using it also. But it doesn't take much to make me think that something is really neat. :p

Wow! Thanks again, everyone for the input.
I am going to order one of those a.s.a.p. :)

Wow!
I really like this little machine! :) I have made oat flakes that look just like the ones in the stores!! This is so great to have when the electricity goes out in an emergency, too.
If you like grains, this machine is a must have!!
The only regret I have is why didn't I buy it sooner?
What a great little invention! I paid 70.00 for mine, but it's worth it to me.
Luna lynn and Cinnamon, thanks again so much!!!!!!
Cheers!

Awesome, Green Life! You're so welcome.
I had said the same thing about the flakes looking like the ones in the store! We get to say ours are better though, don't we? It feels so good being able to keep and make things so fresh ourselves.

Will this flaker make oats similar to the raw organic oat flakes that Alissa sells?
Thanks!
