I just reached six months raw on July 2nd and I feel and look great!! I will be raw for life!! I know six months does not make me an expert or anything but I would like to share some of the things that I have learned. Yes, I have slipped probably 3 separate days during this six months but I donÂ’t think I or anyone should dwell on those days because that makes it much harder if the focus is placed on the negativeÂ…just accept it, learn from it and move on. I now know my triggers and that when IÂ’m stressed and over tired I have a tendency to want to eat something cooked. This may seem weird but it actually starts in my head before I even have a craving. I wake up and think, if IÂ’m not careful today I could mess up and then later in the day I have a big craving. Having the right mindset imo is the greatest factor for success!! Another thing IÂ’ve learned for me is that I will have cravings!! I keep myself prepared!! Always prepare for cravings before they happen because cravings will happen!! I also prepare myself by bringing a nice raw dish or salad to all my summertime gathering so IÂ’ll always have something to eat.
Last summer I was raw and tried to do it with just eating a handful of salad, greens and some fruit. Well, that worked ok until fall came and I got really hungry!! If you found the raw lifestyle with Alissa first, you have all the advantages of staying raw that you can imagine. Eating raw is not a difficult thingÂ…just decide to do it and keep yourself prepared and ENJOY it!! ITS GREAT!!

I really didn't have much weight to lose but I did lose a couple pounds. I love the way my skin looks and my mind is much sharper and I'm more optomistic. I have so much energy!! I used to need 8-9 hours of sleep each night to function during the day and slept even more on the weekends. Now I can easily get by with 6-7 hours and feel great all day!!

HI, I'm NEW TO RAW. I just ordered Alissa's book and am awaiting its arrival, I'm sure alot of the unanswered questions I have will be answered when I get her book. I've heard about the RAW eating lifestyle before and find it very interesting. I'm not one that loves to eat meat so I don't see it being too difficult for me. What I find hard is to find a concrete place that tells me what I can and can't eat? For example, I understand it to be organic veggies, fruits, nuts sprouts but what I don't get is what we can drinK? what condiments we can use? flavorings? etc? Like I said maybe Alissa can help in her book when I get it.
I'm soo excited to do this 30day challange, in fact I would like to extend that 30days to 60 or 90? I'm excited about this change, I'm getting Married in October and I think I could look amazing! ANy Advise to help get me going?

Awesome!

Great to hear. I am only 6 weeks raw and feel great most days but drained some others (especially around my monthly). I am bound and determined though especially when I hear inspirational stories such as yours.

RAWK on!
