alright...4 weeks of 100% today...awesome...wow, i can't believe i'm actually doing it...looking forward to another 4 weeks...my family and friends (except for Ekko) think i'm totally insane...my mom tries to tempt me with chocolate, but no way!!! I'm staying raw....i'm noticing that i'm eating more nuts and other fatty fruits lately, and my weightloss has stopped...but that could also be because i'm getting my period in 3 days...my belly is kinda sticking out and i look a little bloated, but i heard that you can gain up to 8 pounds b4 your period...i wonder if it's the same for raw-fooders....which brings me to a question: I get really bad cramps and i'm totally at a loss to what to do...i don't wanna take painkillers, cause i'm detoxing...but i'm getting my period right on the days that i'm working and i can't go to work if i have cramps...i get them really bad...had to go to the hospital twice to get demerol shots...so now i don't know what to do...

Does anyone know something natural against cramps? I'm taking oil of oregano and it does seem to help a bit, but without painkillers, all i can do is lay in bed and wail :(

bodywork? I've worked with alot of sufferers in this way. Get someone to release your psoas muscle and do some glute work. Shiatsu is also recommended to open up the liver meridian. As far as food, rasberries helped me.

thanx for the info...i can't really afford to get body work done right now...but being a dancer i know a lot of stretches and i also meditate and stuff, so maby i can figure something out :) but if it comes down to it...i really can't miss work so if it gets really bad i'm gonna have to take the painkillers :(

Primrose oil will help - it's an essential fatty acid that women take to help balence hormones and ease the symptoms of PMS. Last month i had horrible cramps and digestive things going on during the beginning of my period which is very rare for me. i starting taking primrose oil about a week or so before my period this month and it has made a huge difference. barely any cramping or stomach upset!

hope this helps!
